YES I’M DOING IT!!!!

YES I’M DOING IT!!!!

In October 2011 I will be trekking the Great Wall of China with my other 29 Deutsche Bank employees in aid of Deutsche Bank’s charities of the year (War Child and The Eve Appeal).

Over the course of three days, we will cover 65 kilometres of the Great Wall of China from Gubeikou to Simatai.

For someone who has never been to the gym (literally) and never does any sport, it will prove a real challenge for me (of course I will commence my training in due course, it is no where near a shopping stroll). Because of that, I will be needing a lot of mental support to push it from now till then, please do so by contributing to the fund, and it will all be for a good cause.

WarChild is an international charity that protects children living in the world’s most dangerouswar zones (Iraq,AfghanistanUganda, D.R. Congo.) Children don’t start wars. But their homes, schools, families and communities are torn apart by war. These are the very things children rely on for protection and the chance to build a life free from poverty. War Child helps protect children from the brutal effects of war and its consequences. WarChild is on the ground in Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq and Uganda working with children affected by war such as street children and former child.

The Eve Appeal was set up to save women’s lives by funding the groundbreaking research programme at the Gynaecology Cancer Research Centre (GCRC) at University College London. Gynaecological cancers are the world’s fourth largest cancer killer of women. Every day 50 women in the UK are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer and 20 die. The Eve Appeal is determined to change this.

My target is to raise £750, which will be matched by Deutsche Bank 100%.

I would greatly appreciate your generosity and support!
