zChocolat Tasting Event….

zChocolat Tasting Event….

Valentine’s Day 2 years ago, I received a beautiful box of zChocolat from my beau who was in Vietnam at the time…. It’s the most beautiful box of chocolate I had ever seen!!!!

Today Viet and I got invited for the zChocolat tasting event at the Waldorf Hilton…it was really heaven for chocoholics…a perfect to prelude to Valentine’s Day 😡

Latest addition to zChocolat’s collection, the half-pound “Mon Coeur”, with slow-roasted caramelised Piedmont hazelnuts in a 70% Venezuelan chocolate, it is DIVINE!!!

Tonight, zChocolat showcased all of its exquisite flavours: 26 signature chocolates, including the “Z” and numbered (0 to 24), as well as chocamandines, truffles, heart-shaped chocolate from its Romantic Collection and the lovely new Mon Coeur. All in all, it was just like a chocolate world popping out of a story book. They just keep you looking, picking, and eating (even while posing for a picture like what Viet does above ;)).

We were lucky enough to find both of these two gentlemen next to each other at the same time, and we, obviously, jumped on the opportunity to take this photo. For those who are wondering, the man on the right (not Viet though) is zChocolat’s chocolatier Pascal Caffet, amongst the most celebrated Meilleur Ouvrier de France title holders, previous World Champion Chocolatier (Monde des Pâtissiers-Chocolatiers-Glaciers), winner of various other titles, also selected as one of the best French chocolatiers by Le Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat, owner of Palais du Chocolat with 5 boutiques in France, 1 in Japan and 1 in Turin (one day I will get there…), truly a man to be respected in the world of patissiers. The other gentleman is Alexandre Gyé-Jacquot, Pascal Caffet’s chef de production,  Meilleur Ouvrier de France Chocolatier – Confiseur 1996, who has been working with Pascal for 25 years since he was an apprentice.

Finely crafted, wonderfully delicious delights, what an evening. Have not had so much chocolate in one go like I did to day (and I am a serious chocoholic!!!).

It was due to an error caused by one of the recent updates, so probably nothing to do with your browser. It has now been resolved so you should again see the site without those codes.
