25 Jul LSE, where it all began…. – Pre-wedding Photoshoot
The London School of Economics and Political Science – ooh sounds so fine haha! To us, it is the special place where we first met and fell in love…
If you went to LSE, you must know where this is – the OLD THEATRE 🙂 On one autumn day of September 2005, all the accounting and finance freshers were gathered here for an induction session. The usual me always try to sit AT THE FRONT, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE :)) Yup! I’m crazy like that! Later I found out from Viet that he noticed me then, a girl trying to get through and sit at the front row. He told me (much later) “I thought she was cute!”
Old Theatre was also the place where we had so many sleepy lectures together…
One has got to mention the GLORIOUS LSE LIBRARY when talking about the school 🙂 Allow me to just remind you that it is the largest political and social sciences library in the whole world. We’re proud!
A not-so-typical image of revising days for the ALMIGHTY LSE Exams = CaDao revising & Viet sleeping right next to her >_<
Okay… this actually never happened… reading books in the library together, along the aisle,… but hey, it captures the essence of what we do in the library, does it not ;))
LSE is everything but a conventional university campus! Some people find it too restrictive because of the lack of space and greenery! But I love it, despite what others may say… I love the fact it has its clusters of several buildings, all interconnected by skybridges like a maze. Viet and I used to date at one of those bridges, not everyone could find the way to it…and we often found ourselves alone. It was a perfect spot for us to have a chat, to have lunch while looking down at the library’s front yard…
LSE rooftop! Another secret dating place in our urban campus! I need to look through our hard drives to find those pictures of us at the same spot years ago… That would be interesting 🙂
Our beloved Mr. Penguin jr, who came to the school after his big brother mysteriously disappeared in 2009… part of the LSE’s animal family, which consists of a baby elephant, a tiger, an eagle and a horse (I bet some of you didn’t know them all?).
I suppose people would always grow to remember and love the places they spend a long time at. This school of ours, despite not having vast stretches of grassland or serene lakes of swans, is absolutely beautiful in its own right, at the heart of London, with the hidden corners, the under-paths, the over-paths, the neighbourhood of Charles Dickens, the library, Wrights Bar, Brunch Bowl (why would this be renamed, seriously!) to mention but a few…
Those happy years at LSE, I will never forget… We got to meet each other, got to fall in love, got to grow together to become our better selves..
There were tears, there were laughters… memories that we will hold dear in our hearts until the end of time…
Thank you LSE, thank you London!

Posted at 15:54h, 26 AugustHi there, I remembered seeing you guys taking photo in the library when I was in university.
Lovely photos!! I met my boyfriend in LSE and we are planning to take our wedding photos in LSE as well.
Do we need to get any authorization to take photos in LSE?

Posted at 19:13h, 27 JulyFirst of all I have to admit that this idea was amazing. What a great way to capture the essence of what started your relationship in the first place. I had a great time scrolling through the pictures and I can almost envision your story and how it all began! Good for you. 🙂
